I treated myself to a few new products from Sephora, so I thought I would share what I picked up. I would love to know if you have tried any of these products or if any of them are your favs, let me know in the comments below!
I went on a red lipstick kick for Canada Day and ordered the Bite Beauty & Urban Decay Canada Day shades (see a blog post of those here–> Which Canada Day Lip Should You Wear?) but I also ordered this Kat Von D Canada Day Trio but ordered it too late for Canada Day. The lipstick is in Hexagram which is one of her standard colours and is a matte blood red. I love the packaging and the smell of this lipstick–it has a hint of vanilla which I love. This set comes with her Tattoo Liner in Trooper which is one of my fav liners a full size of Ink Liner in Neruda which is white. I am unsure of how I am going to use this, so if you have it I would love to hear what type of looks you do with it.
I have been wanting a quick lip scrub and after having a good experience with the Sephora lip balm I decided to try out their Honey Lip Scrub. It was only $8 and I am hoping I will be able to use it before bed. I have a lip polish that I use a couple times a week but wanted this to use each night.
I was looking through Sephora’s sale items and came across this brush set on sale for $24.99. It has five brushes which include: all over shadow brush, small shadow brush, angled shadow brush, rounded crease brush, and flat liner brush. The set also comes with the travel case and a instruction guide on how to use the brushes. I was hoping the rounded crease brush was going to be larger, but I don’t have this size, so I hope it will work well.
I have been really into blush lately. So I have been looking for some new shades, as most of the shades I have are pink. I found this new trio from Anastasia Beverly Hills in Pool Party. The shade Blank is a mauve nude shade that is matte and so pretty. The next shade is Pageant which I consider a blue/purple toned bright pink. This is the shade I was excited for, but it has gold glitter in it, which I am not a fan of. Finally the shade Kash which is a beautiful pink toned coral. The packaging is beautiful which a large mirror and push button closure.
If you follow me on beauty instagram account: Beautybyreview I had in my IG story the other day when I came across this new Lip Kit. I LOVE the Sephora Favorites Lip Kits. See my full review of the last kit here–> Review: Sephora Favourites- Give Me Some Nude Lip I was so excited when I saw they released a new kit, so of course I ordered it right away. I will be doing a full review on this coming up soon. But here is what the kit includes:
from left to right – Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Ludwig (nude fawn), Buxom® Full-On Lip Cream in Dolly (sultry mauve), tarte™ Rainforest of the Sea™ Color Splash Lipstick in Rum Punch (nude), Bite Beauty Multistick in Brioche (rich terracotta), MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Rouge in C211 (rose wood), Ciaté London Liquid Velvet Moisturizing Matte Liquid Lipstick in Bitter Sweet (gray mink).
The next two items are deluxe sample products. I love adding promo codes to get the deluxe samples, I often find my favourite products through trying products from these deluxe samples.
The first deluxe sample is a lip gloss from Anastasia Beverly Hills in Vintage. I am obsessed with this shade. I have been wearing it non-stop. I tried this formula in the last lip kit I purchased in the shade Kristen. This shade is pretty similar but is more mauve toned and Kristen is more nude. It has a beautiful shimmer to it and I am loving it.
The other deluxe sample I chose was the book of the Vice Lipsticks. I love the Urban Decay Lipsticks, so getting a book of 24 shades is awesome. I am excited to try out some of the shades and I am sure I will be ordering full sizes soon. I am really excited to try the shade Menace which is a super bright pink in their comfort matte formula.
I have soooo many samples that I have started to order perfume samples for me and my mom and cologne samples for my husband, but I am still guilty of ordering skin care samples. With my recent orders I decided to get two of the glamglow volcasmic moisturizer. It is a matte moisturizer, so I am going to try it underneath my Maybeline cushion foundation that tends to get a bit shiny during the day. I also got the overnight transforming treatment from the same brand. I have never tried any of the Tarte skincare so I picked up their hydrating boost. Two samples of products I have never heard of was the Dermadoctor peel and the Tata Harper moisturizer and eye cream.
The final sample I got for myself is the Bobbi Brown long wear gel eyeliner. This sample is really cool. It comes with a brush and two different shades a black and a violet. I am excited to try these out.
So those are the products I have picked up this time from Sephora. After I use them for a bit, I will definitely let ya’ll know my thoughts in review posts! Definitely check out my Instagram beauty account: beautybyreview. I post quick product reviews and show beauty products in my stories as well.
